About this artwork
"How deep is the sea" is a prophecy, then made into music in the year 1977. A masterpiece.
Lucio did not write the ending, even though he knew it very well. He believed that it is much better to be able to rebuild our relationship with the Divine on our own, without agents or intermediary agencies!
And let's stop following Albion in his delirium of omnipotence. We are not beasts, nor slaves, nor goods. The waters have receded for millennia, they… have emerged. Draw back your nets now and let Nature and the Universe dictate your laws and rights. With all due respect to Boniface VIII & CO. who among other things, ironically, is the only one who ended up in Dante's Inferno while alive.
Daniele Mazzoleni (Milan, 1970) is an Italian artist whose work combines personal memory, visual culture, and material experimentation. Growing up in Milan in the 1980s and 1990s, he developed a precocious affinity for painting. After studying architecture and a stint in business, he returned to art in 2004, embarking on a journey of research into materials and surfaces, including paint and resin. Founder of the Neroacciaio brand, he is experiencing a period of fusion between art, design, and craftsmanship, while maintaining the focus on manual processes. Over time, his poetics evolve towards a more essential and contemplative language. His most recent works, including “Tra la Perduta Gente” (2023) and “Quello che mi piace” (2025), define his current path, which he identifies with the concept of Human Pop.
