Abstract representation of light as source of life.
This series is inspired by sudden lock down caused by corona virus global crisis and confronting complete change of life routine imposed by new rules, by fear, by personal responsibility, but it is also inspired by urge to save sound mind and choose what to believe, what to do, how to perceive this new life mechanisms and survive as an individual and as artist.
Optimism and searching for small joys,… step by step, day by day can remove anxiety and stress. That is why I painted florals, light and air. I wanted people to breathe, to listen, to feel, to activate all senses and feel relaxed and find their own way to happiness in this situation.

Danijela Knezevic is immersed in the exploration of the ever-fascinating perception of self, others, nature, and the primal quest for freedom and happiness. The Serbian painter believes that this journey is thwarted by the voluntary and imposed slavery of the “Brave New World”.
