About this artwork
Three riders ready for battle at the World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan, 2018. It was a challenging circumstance for the artist, crushing among all journalists who were taking shots to send to their newspapers while he was trying to take more artistic photos, requiring concentration and calm. The high contrast of the riders to the dark background presents a powerful addition to any collection.

Self-educated, Danny Johananoff thrives in photographing unique moments, often referencing world cultures. He paints with his camera, utilizing slow shutter speeds for abstraction and meaningful camera movement, engendering seemingly unfocused images that establish vivid color palettes for visual harmony. Mesmerized by far-flung locations and rich cultural experiences, his images encapsulate a radiant muse and strive to stir emotions akin to orchestral harmonies singing across desert dunes.
