About this artwork
Gaia, mother earth, is serious and playful, solid and flowing in all her forms.
This artwork has a special contour. The form of this artwork is not square. This wooden artwork has flowing edges. The sides of the artwork are finished with black paint so that the green colour of the material is not disturbing the view.
The dimensions of the artwork are 1 meter wide and 1 meter heigh at the longest parts, the wooden panel where the artwork is painted… on is 1 by 1 meter and after that in some parts cutted out on the edges.
This Artwork is made on moisture resistant MDF. Moisture-resistant MDF is made up of very fine wood fibers pressed together with glue, making the panel very stable, flat and tight. The artwork will not warp in time.
The artwork has a hanging system at the back, attached with polyurethane construction adhesive, the most strong glue for wooden.

Daphne Bitter is an established painter from the Netherlands whose work has been featured in numerous solo shows throughout the country. She is inspired by her love for the natural world and her yearly solo trips in nature visiting caves, waterfalls, mountains, and forests.
