About this artwork
In this work, I used charcoal and graphite to capture the complexity of inner fears, those that cloud our vision and alter our identity. The figure, blurred and trapped, evokes the struggle between the conscious and the hidden. I wanted to convey that unsettling yet delicate energy that fills any space, inviting us to confront our fears without losing our own essence.

I am David Aranda (Davaro), an artist from Barcelona.
As a child, he had two distinctive qualities: painting and losing track of time in the mountains.
In my teens I met the painter Tokio Ujike, who inspired me to get started in painting and art.
As a painting artist, I have exhibited my work in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Paris or Dubai; both in art fairs and in private and public exhibitions.

My work focuses on the human figure as a mirror of introspection and personal transformation. Through the face and body, I explore identity, inner conflicts, and how the self confronts itself in the contemporary world.
My visual language engages with the tradition of the classical human figure —from ancient Greece to the Renaissance— reinterpreted from a contemporary and personal perspective.
