About this artwork
The work entitled "Autumn" is an evocation of the autumn season during which the trees are adorned with multicolored foliage. The more advanced branches are covered with scarlet and gold while the later ones to change still keep their green hues. The use of shades of blue, and in particular a very light blue-green, evokes as much the possibility of a watercourse as the first colds that embrace the land. The opposition between complementary colors,…
such as blue and orange, brings a striking chromatic contrast to this work.

David Vall is an artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy, Spain, and England. Inspired by natural elements, movement, and light, his works convey an ambivalence between darkness and light, interweaving mystery between surface and depth. Vall's bold abstractions are most often created using acrylics on canvas.
