Deborah Gavel is an experienced painter with international exposure from the United States. Gavel's work is about reverence for ecology and healing through a feminine perspective. Each painting is created by layering oil, wax, and metallic leaf, a process which is itself analogous to the passage of seasons in nature. Gavel is interested in expressing the sacredness of our environment in her work as well as the inherent color and theatricality of the natural world.
