About this artwork
This picture radiates calm and elegance. Dark, warm tones contrast with a cool silver-gray and the mysteriously shimmering pearl white. If you change your perspective just slightly, the supposedly warm earth tones unfold their true potential and begin to shine metallically. They turn out to be copper, silver and gold.
The structures of the picture invite the viewer to immerse themselves in their own thoughts and ideas. There is so much to discover… here that remains hidden from the neighbor; it is like a mirror of the soul.
A work like this naturally required a special frame. I decided to make a shadow gap frame in elegant black myself.
Dennis Bätz, an artist specializing in acrylic pouring, only later followed his childhood calling to art. Through meticulous planning, he produces abstract works, magnificent in color, contrast, and composition. His art invites individual interpretation and brings a universe of ideas to life. "It feels as if I am looking through a new pair of eyes and the world is revealing itself to me in a new light." With these words, Dennis Bätz described his artistic career at his first solo exhibition in 2022, from monochrome, graphic works that shaped his work for decades, to colorful abstraction. Consequently, the opening and subsequent exhibition were named "Color Frenzy". Years of experimentation and refinement of technique followed, on the one hand, and on the other, the perpetual struggle for artistic expression, the soul of the work.
