About this artwork
ABOUT THE ART: "A Woman's Rainy Reflection" This painting captures a moment of peaceful reflection, as a woman walks through the rain. Her blue umbrella is open wide, protecting her from the grey clouds that hang overhead. Her gaze is directed towards the shop window, adorned with vibrant items, a reminder of the possibilities that lie ahead. There is a sense of both solitude and hope in the image, as the woman quietly strolls through the rain, a… reminder of the beauty that can be found in the ordinary.
This piece is part of Dennis Crayon’s Memory collection blending realism with expressionism. The Memory series is based on photos combined as a play between reality and abstraction.

Dennis Crayon is an award-winning American painter who has exhibited his works throughout the United States. In 1998, he attended a six-week architectural dig in the ancient ruins of Pompeii. The remarkably well-preserved ancient frescoes and murals would change the course of his creative journey and inspire his artistic vision. Crayon employs his background in classical painting techniques and trompe l’oeil in his oil creations.
