I’ve earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from the State University of New York and… later earned a diploma from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston in painting. It was there that he began to learn classical painting. I later moved to Washington, D.C., and studied at the Zoll Studio of Fine Art in Timonium, Maryland, fully delving into classical painting techniques and trompe l’oeil. I am an active member of Washington, D.C.’s artistic community. My work has been shown locally and nationally.

Dennis Crayon is an award-winning American painter who has exhibited his works throughout the United States. In 1998, he attended a six-week architectural dig in the ancient ruins of Pompeii. The remarkably well-preserved ancient frescoes and murals would change the course of his creative journey and inspire his artistic vision. Crayon employs his background in classical painting techniques and trompe l’oeil in his oil creations.
