About this artwork
"Floating Merrily" is inspired by sunlit patches circulating and interacting with foliage on the surface of water in a creek bed. I exaggerated the warm colours to emphasize the bright sunlight.
I love being immersed in nature and draw inspiration from my coastal and bush surroundings especially local creeks and streams. I enjoy working abstractly to reinterpret nature's patterns, rhythms and colours.
