Vito Distante, I am a professional painter with several solo exhibitions and participation in modern and contemporary art fairs (Expoarte). Title of the work "Bathing ban"
Measures 70 cm. X 100 cm. The work represents a seascape, a contaminated and disturbed beach due to the presence of an industrial structure. Furthermore, the presence of waste is clearly visible, thus an unmistakable message, and hence the title of the work.
(Swimming Ban) but… not only pollution that causes the death of marine fauna.
The work's representation is dominated by the presence of two penguins in a habitat that is neither suitable for them nor for humans.
The work is made with acrylic colors and a very evident material background almost to demonstrate the pollution of the work itself.
