About this artwork
Liminal emerged from the state of being in-between: hovering between two places, already started but not yet arrived. I physically experienced this transition as a landscape of the soul and explored and visualized it layer by layer in the monoprinting process.
Working with color, texture, and digital compression, I was able to pause, listen within, feel—and make the invisible visible. Thus, an inner state became a multi-layered landscape that doesn't… depict, but rather recalls.
This work is part of an ongoing series in which I explore fragmented memory, atmospheric interstices, and the search for essence. My artistic practice oscillates between analog and digital, between feeling and form—an attempt to translate existential states into a visual language.

Djaheda Richers is an Afghan-German artist from Berlin who works as a draftsman, printmaker, and digital artist, drawing on her transcultural background and experience in communication design. She uses analog printing techniques such as monoprint, experimental tools, watercolor, pencil, and collage, and transfers analog textures into the digital realm to create atmospherically dense, abstract imagery. In her works, she conveys profound emotions of fragmentation, inner transformation, and a sensually murmuring longing for connection with the invisible.
