Peonies are called royal flowers, which can compete with the beauty even with the universally recognized queen - rose. Lush, full of satin fragrant petals, peony flowers symbolize sincere love and true happiness. Delicate pale pink and hot scarlet, as if soaked in the flame of an all-consuming passion, translucent lemon with a soft cream tint and thick maroon - they… all breathe the joy of life, imbued with sensuality and each has its own magical fragrance. But the marvelous white peonies, symbolizing true purity, are special even among their relatives. According to an ancient belief, they are the ones who are able to resist evil and black envy, protecting a person and his home from all kinds of troubles.

Dmitry Spiros (b. 1971, Tashkent) is a painter based in Cancún, Mexico. Trained in classical easel painting, he developed a distinctive visual language built on palette-knife structures, chromatic tension, and layered surface construction.
While his earlier works were rooted in contemporary impressionism — including landscapes and light-driven compositions — his recent practice focuses primarily on the human figure. Within this body of work, Spiros operates through what he defines as Ornamental Expressionism.
In this approach, ornament is not decorative embellishment but structural force. Repetition, rhythmic pattern, and fragmentation become emotional architecture. Faces and figures emerge from dense painterly systems where color organizes presence and surface tension replaces anatomical precision.
His works are held in private collections across Europe, Japan, North America, and beyond.
