About this artwork
The core of the statue is an antique wooden beam that comes from the roof of an old half-timbered house. Precious stones such as Herkimer diamonds, rubies, amber, rock crystal and Citrin adorn the multitude of ornaments. The use of gold leaf dominates, and the rich golden colour induces the impression of opulence and fullness. The elements are playfully arranged and give the work of art a lightness that forms a beautiful contrast to the massive appearance…
of the colour gold. The built-in clear rock crystals wrap around the statue in spiral patterns and the irregular interruptions of prana crystals and drops of prana characterize Donna McCain's playful abstract style, which transforms complex shapes into timeless simplicity. The elegance of the statue is rounded off by a fine wooden base made of Thai driftwood.
