Doris Wolf is a visual artist who works with clear forms, structured processes, and a precise approach to color and surface. Before her artistic career, she worked for several decades as a chemical engineer in the environmental sector and later in technical project management. She then ran her own company for 16 years. This professional experience shapes her art: precision, an understanding of materials, and a methodical approach to working in series.
Doris lives and works between Hamburg and Tenerife. In Hamburg, she developed her technical foundations, studying materials science, gesso preparation, stencil work, and serial working methods. There, she laid the clear, structured basis for her current visual language.
Only this year did she integrate the island's light directly into her painting. This opened up her color palette, making the works clearer and freer, without sacrificing technical precision.
