About this artwork
“Memento vivere” was born from a very free, almost instinctive impulse. I didn't think of it to please, nor to sell. I painted it for myself. I needed to reconnect with what I feel deeply when I create, without trying to control everything.
For once, I didn't work too hard on the background. I preferred to let myself be carried along, to see what emerged. And what emerged were symbols—lots of them. Elements like the sun, the trident, the chakras,… eyes, a plant… but above all, a central figure, half sun mask, half primitive divinity, like a mirror of my own inner world.
Each element is there for a reason. Earth, water, air, fire. Golden ears to better hear the invisible. Eyes to see beyond reality. This work is an intimate ritual, a way to remember, precisely, to live.”

Alix Goor, a self-taught artist, expresses herself mainly through painting. Her style mixes the abstract with the figurative, revealing a raw, naïve, pop or neo-fauvist art, with sharp black lines and vibrant hues that build a unique visual language. She paints femininity and the plural beauty of women with raw energy, exploring themes such as nature, spirituality and sensations through intense colors. Her work, hypnotic and intense, summons the emotions of "Luxury, Calm and Voluptuousness".
