About this artwork
A work of art that went through different phases of my life and creative processes. Starting as a landscape painting that reflected the calm and naturalness of the 70s, it changed in the following years. The head, which appeared in 1995, represented the inner search and transformation that I went through in the 90s. Then in 1996 came "Enigma", an expression of the mystery and deep feelings that occupied me. But this phase did not last either, and…
so the painting was replaced by "Escape" in 1998. The experiences and pain that I experienced from the loss of Eptisam made me realize that I needed a new beginning and an escape from my previous life. "Escape" represents this desire for a new beginning and an escape from the shadows of the past. It stands for the urgent need to escape reality and dare to start anew in order to find inner peace.
