About this artwork
In this work, which I created through lithography, cubist forms and the raw expression of Art Brut come together.
The original work from which the print was taken dates from 1973 - from my phase as a young artist.
With the abstract, interlocking figures, I want to create an atmosphere of deep connection and, at the same time, individual isolation. The cool blue tones penetrate the stark black and reflect human feelings of longing and hope.
