Park Shadows is one of a series of paintings where the Artist's interest lies in the play of light and dark. Eleanor is depicting the long shadows cast by figures walking in a park. The painting is ambiguous, with the figures moving away from us, we cannot see their faces. The light coming through the trees dances on the floor in shades of pink and purple.
