About this artwork
Windermere View is inspired to a trip to Lake Windermere back in June 2022. The view is looking out through the conservatory of Lakeside Hotel and Spa across Lake Windermere. It was an exception early summer with shadows thrown across the floor and the vibrant green of the landscape is visible across the lake. The painting takes our eyes across the conservatory and out to the lake. Vivid magentas contrast with grass greens, whilst the hazy water…
