About this artwork
In this work, I deliberately created an abstract world using acrylics and collage, playing with texture and color fields. The serene figure with an open book represents knowledge and inner reflection, a delicate counterpoint to the raw, dynamic surroundings. The energy of this work brings a blend of contemplation and power to the room and invites the viewer to explore their own thoughts.

Elfie Marijanovic, born in Trossingen in 1952, only turned to painting in 2003. She cleverly experiments with combining different materials: coffee meets plaster, and filler meets stone dust and canvas. Her expressiveness is conveyed in vibrant compositions of colors, pigments, and collage. Marijanovic's art expresses an energy that arises from the joy of experimentation, resulting in an almost tangible vitality in her works. She teaches "Painting + Matter" at the adult education centers in Haar, Fürstenfeldbruck, and Maisach, as well as at the KunstRaum Heimstetten art school. She participates in numerous exhibitions and art markets in the Munich area every year.
