The work originates from a slab of marmorina, deliberately broken and then reassembled. The fracture, enhanced with gold, becomes a symbol of transformation: sometimes it's necessary to shatter the image we believe ourselves to be to allow the most authentic self to emerge.…
The reassembled fragments preserve patterns created directly on the water's surface, reinterpreting the Japanese suminagashi technique. Each mark is born from the flow of water and is unique and unrepeatable, just like our emotions when we lose control of them.
Brigitte doesn't tell the story of a face, but of a choice: that of going beyond expectations, beyond definitions, to rediscover one's own authenticity.
