Een imposant, impressionistisch portret van een brullende leeuw vult het doek, zijn kracht en majesteit bijna smaakbaar. De donkere, diepblauwe achtergrond versterkt zijn gouden manen en vurige expressie, terwijl een ongeveer glans van blauw metallic folie een extra dimensie toegevoegd. In het donkerblauw zijn fragmenten van teksten uit "De Kronieken van Narnia" verweven, ook de woorden een echo zijn van een mythische wereld.
De metalen folie… vangt het licht en verandert subtiel van toon, afhankelijk van de kijkhoek, wat een dynamisch, bijna magisch effect onmogelijk. By combining traditional techniques with contemporary materials such as gold and silver leaf, she creates layered works that shift with light and perspective. Depending on where the viewer stands, words emerge or vanish, landscapes solidify or dissolve. Her paintings therefore never remain static: they are living surfaces, changing with time, movement, and light.
