About this artwork
Dit schilderij maakt deel uit van een serie geïnspireerd op een heel bijzonder boek dat ik las: "Furthermore" van Tahereh Mafi.
“De zon regende weer. Zacht, stralend regenlicht viel uit de lucht en elke druppel prikte een mooi gat in het seizoen. […] De winter was standvastig en voorspelbaar geweest, maar nu begonnen de gaten te verschijnen. De lente gluurde al door de scheuren. De wereld was klaar voor verandering. […]" (Uit “Verder” van Tahareh… Mafi)
Het schilderij is klaar om op te hangen. Omdat de zijkanten meegeschilderd zijn is er geen lijst nodig. Op aanvraag kan het kunstwerk ingelijst worden in een blanco houten lijst. De teksten heb ik geschreven met goud- en zilverkleurig bladmetaal.
Het kunstwerk werd tentoongesteld in India en Duitsland.

Elise Eekhout is a visual artist working at the intersection of painting and graphic design. Her practice explores the language of light, texture, and text.
