Catharsis is a series of four abstract photographs taken in February 2019, illustration of a lava flow which in its blast would take everything in its path. The series highlights fire as a symbol of change: purify to better be born, reborn, exist.

Signed and numbered on the back.

Elise Vincent is a prize-winning French photographer who has exhibited nationally as well as in the United Kingdom. She admits that her world is filled with dreams which translate into abstract works and invoke the unconscious. Vincent feels that liberty lies in the imagination, with her compositions revealing ‘little windows of the world’. She often takes pictures on ‘photographic walks’ then alters them using digital editing software.
