About this artwork
This is an image of death and rebirth painted as a hot pink volcano imagining a cool ochre tree. It grew out of another painting that Albert had photographed and printed on canvas. "As soon as I saw it in its new form, I realized that I was engaging in a cyclical process."

« Paradoxically, the very nature of these works is entropic, even as they try to capture and order. Everything: paint, fabric, and all materials have a stored energy, an intrinsic vibrancy. »
