About this artwork
During the process of creating my works of art, I proceed mostly intuitively. What does that mean? A blank canvas is the moment when thoughts come to a standstill and colors can flow into one another, free from will. For me, these moments are pure magic. It is only as the work progresses that colors, shapes and composition develop into an overall painterly concept.
The viewer should always enjoy the freedom to look at the picture without looking… at it from the artist, so that it can enrich their emotional world, where they can encounter themselves without judgement. Liking is one way of encountering art, encountering oneself is another and definitely more exciting.
