About this artwork
The basis for Elwida's considerations was the picture by G. Klimt “Bauerngarten”. Having painted the many versions of Klimt, she wanted to add hers, just painted in her own way, applied her style.
In contrast to the original, importance and focus for the viewer are not only brought to the petals, but to the entire plant. The leaves come into the plane of the flowers. The aim of this weighting was the artist's view that it is not only the flower… that is important, that without the flower the flower cannot exist in the long term, that in addition to the tasks / functions we already know, the leaves probably do “things” that we do not know about know, but they are of immanent importance.
