About this artwork
ELWIDA completed another final sketch of her father, which remained unfinished because illness and death prevented its completion. She woven her painting style into the composition. Surfaces, lines and structures become more vivid when illuminated with colored light. Red light gives us an idea of what nature can achieve and leaves us feeling completely humble. Elwida hopes to plant a seed in the viewer's heart to appreciate and protect this power.
