About this artwork
Controversy is admittedly an unusual name for a landscape of flowers. On my late-summer road bike tours through my homeland, I discovered this motif, which immediately captivated me. I could immediately draw parallels to us humans when we discuss aspects in communities that completely captivate us because they concern us all, the more, the more energetic the reactions.
That seems to be the case here too: see the two top dogs (strong sunflowers in… the foreground), very sure of their cause and position to prevail.
The foxtail is in a rage (red with anger), pushed to the edge and fluffing up, helpless and limp it makes no essential contribution, only hot air is to be expected, but it looks good.
Currently rented.

Credentials
- Works on commission
« Everyone is creative, you just have to trust and stay true to yourself. »
Elwida is an exciting German painter who has exhibited her work nationally. Her principal themes are landscapes and people– as they live, love and eventually pass away. She composes works that showcase dynamic use of light, colour and physicality. For Elwida, the ultimate reward as an artist is to see a viewer sink into a painting, unable to separate themselves for a few moments.
