About this artwork
In creating this piece, I poured my soul into blending vibrant textures and colors. It took me for a full year to complete this work. During this creative process, I almost had given it up so many moments due to the complexity of its composition and the delicate material such as vintage metal leaf which is extreme challenging to handle with. But I am glad that I did not give up. Creating process is just like life itself, it is all possible if you… trust you can do it.
Inspired by ancient lore and modern spirit, the world of Paul Klee and traditional Japanese arts, it's a tapestry of stories waiting to resonate with your space. The rich pigments and intricate collage elements provide depth and movement, invoking a sense of interconnectedness. Through my artistic alchemy, I've sought to bridge cultures, crafting an experience that's both grounding and transcendent—ready to enhance your home with its energy and conversation-sparking allure.
« I feel extremely happy when what I paint manifests as an idyll on the canvas I am working on. I then know that I can stop and walk away from it! »
Emi is an exciting painter based in Australia who has exhibited her work internationally. Her art is a meld of an abstract, ethereal patina inspired by Japanese aesthetics and the brazen vernacular of the Australian landscape. Emi employs a litany of mediums including silver leaf and sumi ink to compose paintings that transmit feelings of optimism. Overall, they seek to reconcile ideas of self, heritage and culture.
