About this artwork
This work is one of the last examples of the "Art of War" series. In this work, which is embroidered on the highest quality original linen, the texture of each material is given separately. The texture of the reliefs on the wall, the texture of the skin, the texture of the owl, the texture of the book pages, the delicate drinking glass, the dress stones, and the horse-patterned wall are naturally processed into the work. The owl, which is the symbol… of wisdom, reflects the consultant who gave the work its name. Other symbols in the work; pomegranate: kingdom, key on pomegranate: secret knowledge, horses: power, rams heads: ancient and mystical wisdom, golden chalice: wealth, chess and books: strategy, bottle with red seal: secrecy, yellow sun above: faith, white butterfly: spiritual transformation, one eye: surveillance. This composition, which embodies the philosophical and symbolic objects of the art of war, is blended with its frightening and attractive beauty.
« Art is in the things I see, feelings I feel, the best way I can express what is going on inside me, the messages I want to deliver to my viewers without loosing the beauty of art. »
