About this artwork
Most of the people spend their lives in a metaphorical sense by fitting them into some frames. Many examples such as the culture of the country we live in, the rules in the house we were born in, our workplace, the photos uploaded to social media, the clothes we choose (brand clothing obsession) etc. can be considered as examples of these golden frames. People who try to exist in these frames feel colorless and incomplete when they are left out of… the frame. But this is an illusion. As proof of this, a bird in the upper right corner does not have these thoughts and although it is out of the frame, it exists with its natural colors. Let alone entering physical frames, forcing our thoughts into some frames is the message intended to be given in this work. The purpose of giving an example from nature is to emphasize how far we are from natural balance. The eyes in the background will always be both in and out of the frame.
« Art is in the things I see, feelings I feel, the best way I can express what is going on inside me, the messages I want to deliver to my viewers without loosing the beauty of art. »
Emil Aziz is an emerging Turkish painter who has exhibited his work in Azerbaijan and France. Fascinated by the act of simple observation from a young age, he values his work as an artist for the pure freedom of expression and wordless feeling. Seeking to infuse classical techniques with a modern approach, he composes paintings that immerse the viewer into scenes of life rich in colour and light.
