Spring is here and with it a palette full of green tones enlivened by the fresh colors of spring flowers and blooming bushes. Lilac has attracted the artist's eye since time immemorial, as it often beautifies the surroundings of human beings. In this picture I capture the semi-wild lilac bushes at the end of the village, which someone threw out of the garden here and they found their place among the other vegetation. Emil Mlynárčik is a Slovakian painter whose art has been featured in several solo exhibitions in Poland and Slovakia, as well as in Portugal. Having grown up in a small mountainous village, he was surrounded by folk art, song, dance and crafts. For over 30 years Mlynárčik has dedicated himself to mastering realistic depictions of nature and rural motifs. He works on linen canvases and exclusively uses oils because they dry slower, allowing him to focus on detail.
