About this artwork
Pajot's “P” for this painting dedicated to the PNL group (Peace N 'Lovés). A duo of French rappers who have met with dazzling and unexpected success. “There is something about them that did not exist in French rap. In this musical genre where it is sometimes difficult to talk about feelings, PNL evokes personal subjects [the absence of a parent, loneliness ...], nostalgia and melancholy. They are in a tough environment, but they don't play the tough…
guys. So, even if they tackle the same themes as the other rappers, in the same setting, there is an extra soul in them that makes the difference. " Explains Olivier Cachin, music critic. PNL is also noted for its independence in the world of music. We find some references to the group: the names of the authors, Ademo and NOS (their real names Tarik and Nabil Andrieu), from the city of Tarterêts in Corbeil-Essonnes (The number 12 on the canvas corresponding to their old door number ).

« I like to recreate the behaviors of the homo-numericus. »
French painter Emmanuel Pajot's first exposure to art consisted of watching his father work at reproducing famous paintings. Interested in exploring the over consumption of images, sound, and information, Pajot seeks to recreate and imitate the behaviors of contemporary humans. Using a mix of acrylic and oil on canvas, Pajot creates collage-esque conglomerations of images, colors and textures, often with a primary figure or phrase in the foreground.
