This work, created in honor of the father of pop art, Andy Warhol, is based on the iconic Mapplerthorpe photograph. It uses the personography technique, a technique I invented, using as chromatic areas images of works I photographed directly in museums I visited in Europe. Often, the reflection of the glass in the photo is visible, and in some, my own image is also reflected. Inside the face, I reworked shots of Warhol's friends and members of the… Factory, in his company, and images of his family with his beloved mother. In the halo, I decided to depict various versions of the diva par excellence, Marilyn Monroe, in her iconic image taken from a photo frame from the Niagara shoot. Around the face, all the works photographed and transmuted by me. This work is the first personography on canvas, and I recently added resin in some areas visible in the foreground images.
