About this artwork
It is the meeting of two generations that everything opposes but who love each other. He was inspired by traces of the past but also of the present, of landmarks of time. a hundred-year-old bark is a tender reed like an unripe fruit. He used the lines as a link between two characters, two souls ... He drew with pen "sergeant major" and Indian ink on 200 g paper.

Eric Dabancourt is an established French painter and draftsman with national exposure. Inspired by the work of Giacometti, Soulages and Basquiat, he seeks to be just as free in his creative approach. Drawing on pertinent contemporary themes such as social movements in France, and reflecting on nature with a series based on sea and sky, he plays with light and color to achieve an aesthetic that demands contemplation.
