About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture the vulnerability and authenticity of the human body, blending classic techniques with modern touches. The vintage palette conveys a gentle nostalgia, while the bursts of vibrant color infuse a raw energy. This painting will bring a bold and contemplative presence, inviting intimate reflection into your space.

Eric Doisy, originally from Lille, expresses himself primarily through oil stick painting, approached in an instinctive and visceral manner. Inspired by Basquiat and Schiele, he forges a raw style, featuring recurring figures with singular graphics—small heads, asymmetrical gazes, distorted mouths. His wild and direct technique accentuates the tension between control and chaos. Through his works, he conveys a powerful emotional charge, questioning the viewer about the intimacy of their own flaws and the depth of their emotions, beyond any facade.
