About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture that intimate and fleeting moment when the gaze is lost in the reflection. The combination of felt-tip pen and spray paint creates a vibrant, almost living texture, where vintage elements intertwine with profound emotion. This painting invites a dual interpretation, both fragile and powerful, ideal for infusing your space with a nostalgic and mysterious energy.

Eric Doisy, originally from Lille, expresses himself primarily through oil stick painting, approached in an instinctive and visceral manner. Inspired by Basquiat and Schiele, he forges a raw style, featuring recurring figures with singular graphics—small heads, asymmetrical gazes, distorted mouths. His wild and direct technique accentuates the tension between control and chaos. Through his works, he conveys a powerful emotional charge, questioning the viewer about the intimacy of their own flaws and the depth of their emotions, beyond any facade.
