Friendly neighbours, that are content with their life, enjoy working the garden and each other and, although they never did that ever before, are happy to pose for a Dutch artist? Ezendam was lucky to have them.

Eric Ezendam is a multi-disciplinary Dutch artist based in France, who has exhibited his work in the US, Netherlands, France and Belgium. Composing digital drawings and large charcoal works on paper, he combines classic techniques with contemporary conceptions to propose an intriguing style of portraiture. His representations of writers and everyday people feature a range of interesting postures, colour combinations and perspectives that play on the old and new, the weathered and the beautiful.
