About this artwork
The name of the model posing for this piece was Ali. After a couple of more realistic studies, I created this abstracted figure in clay. I then cast it in bronze. I used titanium dioxide and ferric nitrate to get this yellow/grey patina.

« I like to work fast. If I take the time to think, my work loses its energy and its life. »
Eric Saint Georges is an experienced French artist based in the United States whose work has received national exposure. After taking a workshop with the sculptor Petrus in 1978, he was inspired to develop his own artistic practice and pursued studies in sculpture at the Beaux Arts in Paris. Focusing on figurative sculpture and drawing, he is influenced by his own martial arts practice and the energy of the human form.
