About this artwork
The original oil painting, 24”x36”, entitled Overlooking Silverpoint, was painted in the city of Portland, Oregon USA, in April 2018. The painting depicts a sunset from the viewpoint at Silverpoint past Cannon Beach, OR. The sun casts a bright orange glow on the outcrops, trees and flecks of pink dot the coastline, as the waves catch the light of sunset.

Eryn Tehan is a young, established artist from Portland, Oregon. Her work has been exhibited at Ford Gallery, Alberta Street Gallery, CHP Galleries, and Red E. Gallery and she has completed projects with Travel Portland, The Oregon Society of Artists, Lakewood Center of the Arts, 510 Museum, The Chelsea Hicks Foundation and the International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines. Using only palette knives, Eryn creates her chunky, layered paintings, spotlighting the hidden colors within her floral subjects.
