About this artwork
In my work "Physalis (No. 4)" I explored the fluid and dynamic power of nature through the use of acrylic, pastel, gouache, silk screen and wool. The seemingly random, yet profoundly placed shapes and colors reflect the complexity and beauty of the natural. This painting invites reflection on the fusion of structure and chaos and brings an energetic yet calming presence to any space.
In the series "Physalis" I processed this plant in different… media.

- Works on commission
Esther Eigner, a painter and visual artist, uses media such as egg tempera paints and pastel chalk on various surfaces. Her intuition combined with homemade plant paints creates works of art that address themes of transience and nature. She also addresses overlays and spaces in between with complex and cleverly nested compositions. Eigner's works exude a mystical and reflective mood that invites the audience to ponder reality, identity and space.
