In this work, I sought to capture the vibrant beauty and mysterious energy of nature through my bold use of color. The monkey, a symbol of curiosity and agility, emerges from the darkness... or is it the other way around? Is he about to dive into the unknown, his only recourse to survival? Eunice Green is a completely self-taught artist. A secretive and solitary child, she gave drawing an important place in her youth: "escaping through the mine". From scribbled school notebooks to sketchbooks, Eunice exploits the smallest piece of free paper to sketch anything and everything, but in the smallest details.
After studying nursing and a less than fulfilling professional career, Eunice chose to make painting her vocation. Her free and instinctive creation revolves around recurring subjects: animals, nature, and femininity. Her paintings with bright and passionate hues reveal the fragility and strength of women, the liveliness of animals, the beauty of nature. Through her art, she gives a silent but powerful voice to what is no longer listened to or heard. "Painting is speaking without saying a word"
