About this artwork
Originally, this older family-owned painting showed a painted scene with two monks in a wine cellar.
At first I was rather hesitant about painting over it - there is always a certain amount of respect involved!!!
After a few attempts and weeks of contemplation, I decided very firmly to paint over the whole thing and followed my intuition - it was more like a pleasurable and healing anger!
The work now radiates energy and joie de vivre. The accompanying… gold-plated wooden frame creates a surprising combination of elegance and BORN TO BE WILD.
