About this artwork
Canvas started out of necessity on August 15, 2021, the day the Taliban invaded Kabul. I still cannot accept the reality of this international non-intervention in the face of gender apartheid reserved for Afghan women by the Taliban. I dream of a world where the international community would reach a consensus, which would allow it to commit, strong and united, to defending women's rights.
