About this artwork
My “Pantone” series was born from my experience in fashion, where the Pantone color scale is an essential standard. I decided to subvert this codified and universal system, transforming it into something unique and personal.
My paintings recall the Pantone graphics, but each color is hand painted, different, unrepeatable. The titles do not indicate colors but emotions, songs, objects or concepts: the blue becomes noble blood, the red stolen kisses,… the yellow submarine.
Thus, the infinitely reproducible becomes unrepeatable.
Art breaks the rules. If it's not revolution, it's not art.
