adoro andare nei mercatini dell'antiquariato a cercare vecchi dipinti con cornici barocche da re-interpretare.
Attraverso un gioco sempre dialogante tra elementi classici e scene urbane contemporanee, gioco con la “coincidentia oppositorum”, aspetto intrinseco dei grandi miti dove i diversi poli della dualità si incontrano, creando uno spazio per conversare e reinterpretare la realtà.
Mi piace combinare il rispetto per la tradizione con una sfumatura… di rivoluzione e spesso, tanta ironia…Privare lo spettatore di ciò che si aspetta per porlo al centro dei recenti riferimenti alla contemporaneità, prendere “in prestito” rendendo evidente il prestito, con ironici cenni al conosciuto per distruggere l’atteso.

Fabio Pasquali, born in Aosta in 1963, is a stylist artist who combines manual painting with digital technology. Through photo elaborations and material collages on old paintings, often covered with a veil of resin, he creates visual dialectics between classical elements and contemporary urban scenes.
