About this artwork
The photo is part of the series titled "Nudi versi," in which I linked my image of a female nude with a poem. In this case, the work is inspired by the poem "Ho vergogna" (I Am Ashamed) by the Italian poet Ada Merini.
I am ashamed of the nights that have invaded pleasure,
shame of myself and fear,
that it may still happen again
that I become water
and that you drink me from limbo
of your secret light.

I am an Italian fine art photographer and visual artist. I have always been fascinated by the world of shapes and colors, and I studied analog and digital photography in Rome. I use film and medium format digital cameras. I don't pursue a specific photographic genre; my gaze always seeks to capture a moment of enchantment, suspended between stillness and mystery, in ordinary scenes—be they places, people, or objects. My goal is to convey a sense of wonder in the viewer and awaken a sense of déjà vu. My works have received several international photography awards and have been sold at international auction houses (Binoche et Giquello, Paris; Cambi, Milan). Each photograph is produced in a limited edition on signed paper and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a printed catalogue of the works.
